What is the Templafy Wizard?
Templafy Wizard is a document builder that helps Users create complex Word documents quickly and accurately.
It allows Admins to setup documents, and ensure that these are completed correctly.
How does it work?
When opening a document that is setup for the Wizard, the User is presented with a series of questions. Based on these questions, sections of the document are deleted and only the relevant ones are kept.
The Admin will setup a document to contain all possible variations of answers - and when the User has completed the Wizard then the document will have only the text that is relevant.
All configuration of the Wizard is done in the document itself, using bookmarks. When the correct bookmarks are applied, the Templafy Wizard loads automatically when a document is opened.
Bookmark naming convention:
Options / Choices
ATC_OR1 (apply to whole section)
ATC_OR1_OptionA (apply to header)
ATC_OR1_OptionB (apply to header)
ATC_OR1_OptionA_text (apply to actual text)
ATC_OR1_OptionB_text (apply to actual text)
This is not bookmarks, but just text directly in the document
Wizard question types:
- Questions of type keep or delete text
- Questions of type keep one or the other text
- Fields with replaceable text (See below)
- Options and questions inside each other
- Incoherent text anywhere in the document
Fields with replaceable text:
To create a field, insert its name between the angle brackets: <<Name>>.
If there are multiple names in the document use e.g. numbering: <<Name 1>>, << Name 2>>, etc.
Fields using the same name will get the same information inserted.
Deleting multiple texts in the same choice:
If your document contains texts that need to be deleted if another text is deleted, then this can be setup:
Use the bookmark of type ATC_OptionA_text_1 for the dependent text snippet. An example of usage:
NOTE: When the main option is deleted, all the dependent text as deleted from the document as well.
