Author of document and comments are removed on document save

This article will explains why documents generated from Templafy may have the author removed.

The scenario and setting

• A template is created where the setting "Remove personal information from file properties on save" is enabled within Privacy Options.

• This template is uploaded to a Templafy Library or as a blank template in the Library configuration section.
• Every time a user generates a document from this template, the setting will still be enabled.
• As a result of this, upon saving the document, the author of the document as well as document comments will be removed.
  

Solution

The solution is for the template to be downloaded and for the "Remove personal information from file properties on save" setting to be disabled followed by re-uploading the template again.
