What is the Microsoft Graph Connector for Image Library?
Microsoft Graph Connector for Image Library Connector will expose the native Templafy image library to the Microsoft Graph, the platform that powers Microsoft 365 intelligent experiences such as Copilot, to feed Copilot in PowerPoint with company approved images assets. Copilot will prioritize these images assets from the Templafy library when creating presentations in PowerPoint.
How to configure the Templafy Library for Copilot in Templafy
- In the Templafy Admin Center, navigate to the Integrations section.
-
Open the Available tab and click on the + button on Image Library integration under Microsoft Graph Data Sources.
- Click Accept on the permissions request page.
- Once the integration is added under the Installed tab, click on View Details next to the Image Library integration.
- Click on Synchronize now.
- To verify that the sync was successful, go to https://admin.microsoft.com/adminportal/home#/MicrosoftSearch/connectors and check if the Connection is available and has state "ready".
Best Practices for names, descriptions, and tags
Below are basic naming, describing and tagging guidelines to improve the relevancy of image search results for Templafy images in Copilot.
- Image tags, descriptions, and titles should at a minimum be in American English.
- It's acceptable to have both American English and another language in the tags, descriptions, and titles.
- Image tags, descriptions, and titles should describe the contents, subject matter, or objects in the image and what the image could represent to your company.
- Add keywords:
- Include keywords that your employees would use to search for an image.
- Include keywords related to the department, project, initiative, etc.
- Do not use company specific jargon (Copilot doesn’t understand company specific terms).
- Include synonyms to keywords where possible (exact keyword matches are needed to produce relevant search results, this increases the possibility of a match).
- Include keywords that describe the literal object in the image.
- Include keywords that describe what the image could represent to the company, such as “innovation”, “business performance”, “marketing campaign”, etc.
- Add descriptive phrases:
- If applicable, include adjectives describing the setting of the image.
- If applicable, describe the style of the image.
- Add keywords:
- Write out abbreviations (Copilot does not understand what internal abbreviations refer to.)
How to ensure images are accessible and inclusive
Add alternative text to all images either manually, or opt in to Templafy’s automatic alternative text generator.
Manually add alternative text
To manually add alternative text to an image:
- In Templafy's Admin Center, go to the Library section, and navigate to your images library.
- Select the image you would like to update.
- In the pane that appears, enter the text description in the Alternate text field.
Automatically generate alternative text
To opt into Templafy to automatically generate "alt text" for images in the Images Library via Azure AI Vision:
- In the Templafy Admin Center, navigate to the Library Configuration section.
- Click on More actions on the top right corner.
- Click Settings.
- Under the section Automatically generated asset details, check the box next to AI alt text for images.
- Click Save.
Important
- Any existing images with manually filled alt text will not be overwritten by automatic alt text when the feature is enabled.
- This feature only supports English.
- When user disables the feature, alt text will not be removed from existing assets.
- When enabling this feature, it is possible to select whether all previously uploaded images should be populated with automatically generated alt text or not. The feature is enabled by default for new tenants.
- Backfilling of alt text for existing assets is only possible for maximum of 1000 assets in the library due to rate limiting restrictions from Azure. If the total amount is more than 1000 assets please work with you implementation partner on another approach.
