What is DCV?
Document content validation (DCV) is a feature that makes it possible for companies to ensure that slides in presentations are always up-to-date - even after a presentation has been downloaded by a user and saved locally on their PC.
How does it work for end-users?
An end-user opens an old presentation that they previously saved locally onto their PC. This presentation was originally created in Templafy, and contains slides that are enabled for validation.
In the time since saving the presentation, a newer version of this presentation has been made. Upon opening the presentation, the end-user will be notified that updates have been made, and given the opportunity to review and update it.
How to enable DCV for slides:
- Click on a presentation file uploaded to Templafy's Slide or Presentation Library.
- Select 'Enable DCV' for the relevant slides.
- Click 'Save.'
The option to enable DCV requires that the presentation is uploaded after DCV is enabled.
