About this article
In the following article you will be presented with the best practices around e-mail signature campaigns.
Prerequisites
|
Resolution
In terms of resolution, we recommend a minimum of 96dpi, and 120dpi for best render. We recommend using a minimum of 96 DPI as Outlook will automatically re-render images to 96 DPI.
This recommendation also is valuable for all logos and other images in Templafy.
Dimensions
When creating your email campaign it is important to have mobile devices in mind. The general recommendation is a maximum width of 600px. However many e-mail clients will shrink the contents of their e-mail to fit the screen size. Therefore we recommend you to test your campaigns (together with the signature) on various devices to ensure a consistent look and feel across devices and e-mail clients. Also, the images uploaded to resources to be used in email signature components should have the same size as targeted in the HTML.
Image format
Supported image formats are .png, .jpg, and .gif. Please keep in mind that Templafy does support images with transparency and .gif format but some e-mail clients do not. Therefore we recommend you to be mindful of using .gif format and transparency in e-mail campaigns. We recommend avoiding using .svg format as these images can have unpredictable behavior.
Tracking
You can add UTM codes in the banners to allow tracking of click rate, session time, and bounce rate.
