As an author of a document you can set the security level to Anyone with a password. This article will explain what it means and how to set this security level.

What is security level: Anyone with a password

With this option, a system-generated password becomes the security level between the author sharing the document and the recipient viewing the document. This security level can be applied both when an author chooses to share via grab link and via email: 

  • If the author chooses "grab link" to share, the link and password is copied
  • if the author chooses "via email" to share, an email with a password is provided

 

 
  • The system generates a 6 digit password
  • The system generated password is unique per recipient when shared via email

 

How to set the security level to Anyone with a password

  1. Go to document settings
  2. In the Security tab, select the option called Anyone with a password  in the dropdown Who should view this document
  3. Click Save
