About this article
This article explains Validator. Validator ensures locked slides stay up to date. If these locked slides are updated by the admin, a pop-up "Get latest updates" will prompt the end-user to adjust locally saved slides to the update.
What is Validator?
Validator is a feature that allows admins to lock slides so that information on these slides stays consistent and is not edited by the end-user. If an admin makes changes to a Validator enabled slide that an end-user locally saved on their PC, a pop-up will prompt the end-user to accept these changes the next time they open the presentation.
How does Validator work?
When utilizing a presentation or slides with Templafy, some of the slides in the presentation might be locked for editing. This means the admin enabled Validator for these slides.
The presentation containing locked slides is locally saved. If this presentation is reopened, and the administrator has made some changes, a pop-up will ask the user to get these latest updates.
Updates can be either accepted or dismissed by the end-user. If the end-user dismisses the changes, the notification informing about these changes will appear every time the end-user opens the presentation in the future. Only by accepting the changes, will the presentation be updated and therefore the notification will also disappear.
