Data sources structure map

About this article

This article will explain how to use the data source structure map in the Resources tab in the Admin Center.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access in Templafy tenant
  • Library or e-mail signature modules enabled

What is the data source structure map?

The data source structure map is an alternate way of viewing the data sources within the Templafy tenant. The data source structure map will display each data source, along with the data source's schema, as a box. If a data source has references to other data sources, this will be represented as a line that runs from the original data source to the referenced data source. Using the buttons in the bottom left corner of the map, you can perform the following actions:

How to toggle the showing of the structure map?

The data source structure map can be toggled on by accessing the Admin center of your tenant, navigating to the Resources tab and clicking 'View structure map' in the top right-hand corner of the screen:

  • Users can hold the shift key and select multiple data sources at once
  • You can download the structure map as a image

  • The tables in the structure map can be moved around, but any changes will revert back to original state when the page is refreshed
  • All data sources will be displayed in the structure map, including the system generated data sources
  • If data source A contains multiple references to data source B, only one relationship line will be displayed
