Templafy has introduced increased flexibility and security in our Salesforce authentication process. These updates allow for the granular control of which Templafy tenants have access to the Salesforce data. It also allows for quickly removing access and having complete visibility into where the data is flowing. An additional setting is needed for Templafy's Salesforce Data Connector in order to take advantage of this improved access method. This article will outline the steps to add this setting.

Steps to update Salesforce configuration
- Go to Salesforce Setup.
- Open the App Manager.
- Find the app called Templafy Salesforce Connector and select Manage.
- Scroll to the Custom Attributes Section, and click on New.
- Enter Attribute key: allowed_templafy_tenants.
- Enter Attribute value: '<yourTemplafytenantID>'.
- Replace 'tenantid' with the subdomain of your Templafy URL.
If your URL is https://companyname.templafy.com, then your tenant id would be 'companyname'.
Note: make sure to enclose the tenant Id in single quotes (' '). - If you’d like to connect your Salesforce app to multiple Templafy tenants, this can be done by separating tenant ids with space characters within the single quotes. For example: 'tenantIdOne tenantIdTwo'.
- Replace 'tenantid' with the subdomain of your Templafy URL.
- Save the changes. You should now see the new attribute appear in the Custom Attributes section of the Templafy App.
Important
If this update is not made to existing Templafy Salesforce App configurations, your Salesforce connections with Templafy will no longer work as expected.
