How to locate Templafy log files

This article explains how to locate log files for Templafy Desktop and VSTO Add-ins.

  Prerequisites

  • Templafy Desktop installed on the PC.

Templafy Desktop Log Files

  1. Search for the Templafy Desktop application in your Start Menu and open it.
  2. Click on the Troubleshooting tab.
  3. Select Show log files.
  4. If you are investigating an issue with Templafy Support, please select all files, right-click and choose Compress to... then ZIP file. Send the ZIP file in your ticket with Templafy Support.

Direct path in File Explorer: %localappdata%\Templafy\Desktop\Logs

Templafy VSTO Add-in Log Files

  1. Search for the Templafy Desktop application in your Start Menu and open it.
  2. Click on the Modules tab.
  3. Select Show log files for the VSTO Add-in in question.
  4. If you are investigating an issue with Templafy Support, please select all files, right-click and choose Compress to... then ZIP file. Send the ZIP file in your ticket with Templafy Support.

Direct paths in File Explorer:

  • Library/EmailSignature: %localappdata%\Templafy\Addins\Logs
  • SlideProof/ProductivityTools: %localappdata%\Templafy\SlideProof\Logs

Windows Log Files

Windows log files may be needed to understand how Templafy is interacting with Office applications.

  1. Search for Event Viewer in your Start Menu and open it.
  2. Open the Windows Logs folder on the left pane.
  3. Right-click Application and select Save All Events As...
