How does the Universal AI Assistant work?

Complete prompts are made by (optionally) incorporating the user-selected text, the prompt instructions, and tone of voice. These prompts are sent to the connected GPT model, and users can either use the generated text or ask for a new suggestion.

Prompt Templates

By default, the AI Assistant comes with 10 ready-to-use prompt templates. These are prompt templates that are maintained by Templafy and include most common use-cases.

Admins have the ability to add additional prompt templates, either based on provided "starter templates" or starting from scratch.

AI Model Connection

The Universal AI Assistant uses a standard GPT model hosted in Templafy's Azure OpenAI Service setup. Currently, this is OpenAI GPT-4o mini model in most geographies.

For more information about data processing and security, please refer to our Security and Privacy FAQ.

  Note

  • For organizations hosted on Canadian and Australian servers, Templafy's Universal AI Assistant will use OpenAI GPT-3.5 Turbo
  • The ability to add more connections or connect to custom models is available with the Custom AI Assistant
