Working with Multiple Templafy Tenants​

This article explains how to access multiple Templafy tenants as a user.

 

Prerequisites

 
  • Access to multiple Templafy tenants

 

Multiple Tenant Access for Users and Partners 

  • One user, with the same email address, can be added to multiple tenants.
  • If the tenants use email authentication or invites, the credentials (passwords) will not be synced across the tenants and will remain independent from one another.​​
  • In the WebApp, the UI allows users that are part of multiple tenants to access the desired one.
 
  • Authentication methods are not synced between different tenants.
  • A user can only be authenticated via one method per tenant, however different authentication methods can be used on different tenants.

 

Switching Between Tenants in the WebApp​

In order to switch between tenants in the WebApp, the user will first need to logout. Once the user logs back in, they will be presented with the UI to choose between the tenants they have access to.

Switching Between Tenants in the Add-ins

  • Templafy Desktop​​ (VSTO Add-ins) - Accessing different tenants requires uninstalling and reinstalling of the correct MSI​.
  • Web Add-ins - Accessing different tenants requires deployment of separate manifest files.​
