How to check a presentation with Check for PowerPoint

This article explains how to use Check for PowerPoint to review a presentation.

How to check a presentation

Check for PowerPoint allows you to scan the presentation for errors and inconsistencies against 40 pre-defined rules to ensure that the content, format, and layout are on-brand with the latest company standards.

  1. Click on the Check icon in the Templafy ribbon to check the entire presentation.
    • You can limit the check to specific parts of the presentation by selecting Check Selected Slides in the Check drop-down menu.
  2. The Check task pane will open on the right with an overview of the warnings found in the presentation/slides.
  3. Optionally, adjust the level of warnings by changing the meter in the top right of the pane. 
  4. Optionally, adjust the view of the Check by clicking on the Warnings by slide (default) or the Warnings by type buttons:
    • Warnings by slide (default): show the warnings slide by slide.
    • Warning by type: show the warnings type by type (content, formatting, layout...).
  5. Select the warnings to make them visible in the presentation or use the arrows in the call-out to toggle through the warnings in the presentation.

Can you make your own custom rules in Check?
No, it is not supported to create/add custom rules to Check.
Is it possible to centrally manage the level of warnings of the different rules as well as enabling/disabling some of them for all users?
No, it is currently not supported to centrally manage the Check settings.
Can Check detect wrong spelling for specific words? For example, I would like my company name to trigger a Check warning if it’s being misspelled?
No, it is currently not supported.
