About the Frontify Content Connector
The Frontify Content Connector allows certain assets from Frontify to be accessible by users in the Templafy task pane.
What is supported with the Frontify Content Connector?
- Library Types:
- General keyword search for assets
- Authentication:
- OAuth 2 Authorization Code Flow - Allows for user specific content
- Service Account Authorization - Allows for global access to organization's content without user login
- Ability to pull custom and AI tags from Frontify
- Asset metadata pulled from Frontify:
- Name
- Tags
- Type
What is not supported with the Frontify Content Connector?
- Folder structure - response is flattened and assets are shown without folders
- Multiple Libraries per connector - one connector per asset type is needed
- Multiple brands - only the first brand returned will be used
- Multiple libraries of the same asset type - only the first library of the selected asset type will be used
- Asset Libraries other than Media, Logo, and Icon
- Search by specific metadata or property
How to configure Frontify?
- Go to
Integrations
tab - Go to
Available
tab - Search for Frontify
- Click
+
- Fill out required fields
- Base URL - Url: <Frontify domain of client>
e.g. brandname.customername.com - Library Type - possible options are Image, Icon, or Logo
- Base URL - Url: <Frontify domain of client>
- Select desired Authentication Type

Service Account Authorization
will display the same content to all users without login (organization's content) -
OAuth 2 Authorization Code with PKCE
will require user login and will display user specific content

- Based on the selected Authentication type, fill out the necessary configuration field

:- Token: Service User token generated in Frontify

- Client ID: Client ID from the OAuth2 Client created in Frontify

When connecting to Frontify via OAuth 2 Authorization Code with PKCE
, users will need to consent to Templafy accessing libraries / projects. This will need to be approved when the access token expires or is invalidated (user logs out).
