How to delete a smart field

This article explains how to delete smart fields from Template Designer. 

  Prerequisites

  • Library and at least one Dynamics modules enabled.
  • Templafy Desktop and Office VSTO add-in installed on the PC.
  • Space owner access to the Templafy tenant.

When building the smart fields for a template, removing a smart field that was previously added might be required.  

  1. In Template Designer, navigate to the Template tab.
  2. Click on Delete in the ellipsis menu of the smart field that you want to delete:

  Important

Deleting a smart field through Template Designer will also remove the placeholder text inside the content control in the template. If the placeholder text should remain, please use the native Office "Remove content control" option by right-clicking on the content control:
