Templafy Desktop Network

This article explains Templafy Desktop Network.

Overview

Templafy Desktop only communicates using port 443 SSL to keep all the communication between the end users' machines and the related Templafy tenant safe and secure.

Throttling

When Templafy Desktop updates add-ins or runs offline synchronization, it uses network throttling. With this technique, we guarantee that users download updates in a structured and scheduled way in order to ensure our customers' network stability.

Bandwidth Limit

Templafy limits the total bandwidth used by our client when downloading add-in packages and offline content. The limit is imposed on each tenant and IP-address; a maximum of 10 concurrent clients downloading at 10 Mbps and a maximum of 250 concurrent clients downloading if different IPs are used.

Possible Errors

It has been identified that Netskope may interfere with Templafy Desktop's ability to complete seamless SSO and download add-in packages. If the following error arises within Templafy Desktop logs, please ensure that Templafy URLs have been properly whitelisted within Netskope.

Templafy.Desktop.Client.FileChecksumIntegrityException: The file "C:\ProgramData\Templafy\Desktop\Packages\pkk51evy.zip" did not have the correct checksum. Expected "45925DCDBE2D954874BB3773D64C962D" but was "B2588E1B6E7D9E14625FCB2E8323F9EE".
