How to enable Microsoft Graph Data Connector

This article explains how to set up a connection from Templafy to your Microsoft Azure tenant via the Microsoft Graph API.

The Microsoft Graph Data Connector enables a user to dynamically populate documents with up-to-date information from your Microsoft Entra ID, such as a user's name, job title, mobile phone, and office address.

  Prerequisites

  • Admin/owner access to the Templafy tenant.
  • Admin access to Entra ID.
  • Library and Data Connector modules enabled.

All configuration is done from the Templafy Admin Center, so there are no required configuration steps on Microsoft Graph's side.

  1. In the Admin Center, access the Integrations section.
  2. Open the Available tab.
  3. Find/Search for Microsoft Graph.
  4. Click +.
  5. Enter the required information:
    • Display Name.

  6. Click Save:
  7. Navigate to the Installed tab.
  8. Locate Microsoft Graph and click on Connect:

      Important

If the connector is not used for 24 hours, the connector authentication token may expire. If you notice that your documents using Microsoft Graph data are suddenly no longer working, click on Log out and Connect again to refresh the token.

  9. Finish the authentication steps in the pop-up window, where you will be asked to give permission and click Accept.

      Note

Once the data connector has been set up, you can navigate to Resources to add the relevant external data sources.
