Signing in with multiple authentication methods

This article explains how having multiple authentication methods set up affects login flows in various Templafy platforms from an end-user perspective.

  Prerequisites

  • Multiple authentication methods module enabled and configured

Templafy Webapp, Web add-ins, and connectors

In the browser when navigating to Templafy, users will be presented with a screen listing all the configured authentication methods.

Read carefully through the options displayed, select the applicable method, or follow the instructions provided by your IT/company.  Should the login succeed, the application will remember your selection until the cookie expires or your browser cache and cookies have been cleared. You will be prompted to select your login method again after your session expires (8h, 24h, or 30 days).

Templafy Desktop

When Templafy has been installed on a user's PC, the user will be prompted to access Templafy for the first time.

After clicking Access Templafy, the next page will list all the available authentication methods for your organization. Read carefully through the options displayed, select the applicable method, or follow the instructions provided by your IT/company.  Should the login succeed, the application will remember your selection until you manually log out from Templafy Desktop.

What happens if I select the wrong Authentication method?

Any wrong selection of an authentication method will lead you to an error page. Try to login again using a different authentication option. Should you continue to struggle accessing Templafy, contact your IT or Templafy administrator.

  Note

A user is permitted to use only one authentication method. In the event that the login succeeds, this will become the authentication method associated with your user account. The authentication method can be changed following the user's deletion from Templafy.
