Provide Guest User Read Access to a Storage Account

The article will explain the steps to provide access to the Email Signature Server Storage account logs if asked by support or an Implementation Consultant.

 

Create the Temporary Guest User Invitation

  1. Go to https://portal.azure.com

  2. Go to Microsoft Entra ID

  3. Click on [+ New guest user]

  4. Fill in the Identity fields in the Form that opens
  5. Invite Technical Implementation Consultant Kevin Waddle <kew@templafy.com> unless otherwise instructed

  6. Assign the Security reader or Monitor reader role

    1. Click the Uses link next to Roles
    2. Search for and select either Security reader or Monitor reader role
    3. Click [Select]
    4. Click [Invite]

Provide Reader access to the Email Signature Server Storage account

  1. Go to Resource groups

  2. Go to the templafyemailsignature Resource group
    Note: the Resource group name may have a different name in your installation

  3. Select the Storage account within this Resource group

  4. Select Access control (IAM) in the left hand pane

  5. Click [+ Add] and Add role assignment

  6. Select the Reader role assignment in the Role drop-down

  7. Select the Guest User you Invited in the previous steps

  8. Click [Save]

We will notify you when we have retrieved the logs required for our analyses and you may then delete this Guest User.
