This article explains how the Templafy Library works in PowerPoint.
Prerequisites

Creating a new presentation
- Open PowerPoint.
- Select the desired option in the Home tab:
- New presentation (highlighted in green): opens the blank presentation set by your administrator.

Find a [tenant name ] presentation (highlighted in red) : opens the document creation flow which allows you to find all presentations uploaded by your administrator in the Presentations Library.
ImportantThe option to start the template creation flow from the home tab is only available within the Templafy VSTO add-in. |
Users also have the option to create a blank presentation or open the document creation flow inside PowerPoint via the New Presentation and Find Template buttons in their ribbon.
ImportantMac & Office Online users (using the web add-in) will see the Templafy add-in on the right end of the ribbon, whereas PC users (using the VSTO add-in) will see the add-in on the left end of the ribbon. |
Lastly, it is also possible to create a new presentation from the Library pane by clicking on Find template.
Inserting assets
- Click on the Templafy icon in the Home tab or in the Templafy tab.
- The PowerPoint Library is opened with the different assets, made available by your Templafy administrator(s).
- Click on an asset to insert it as explained below:
Slides | insert a slide or a slide collection in your active presentation. |
---|---|
Slide elements | insert a slide element on your active slide. |
Images | insert an image on your active slide, or in your selected placeholder/shape. |
Content controls | insert an asset from an external content system into your active slide. |
