This article explains how to access Template Designer from the ellipsis menu in the Library pane and, if custom tab settings are enabled on the tenant, from the ribbon.

How to access Template Designer from the Library pane
- Go to your Office desktop application, in this example Word.
- Click on the Home tab in the ribbon.
- Click on Content Library to open the Library task pane.
- Click the User options icon at the bottom of the task pane:
- Click on the ellipsis menu (next to Profile & settings), then click Template Designer.
- You will then have the option to create a new template:
How to access Template Designer from the ribbon
If Create custom tab for Templafy add-ins has been enabled on your tenant, the Template Designer button will displayed directly in the ribbon.
- Go to your Office desktop application, in this example Word.
- Navigate to the custom tab, in the example below named Templafy.
- Click on Template Designer:
