Settings available for a smart template
In the smart template settings, you will be able to access the following settings:
Enable as template
The Enable as template toggle will enable you to activate or deactivate Dynamics on a specific template. Once a document is enabled as a template, you will be able to access additional tabs in the Template Designer:
- The Template tab will allow you to create the dynamic elements for your document.
- The Form tab will allow you to create a response form for your document.
- The Advanced tab will allow you to set generic settings and metadata for your document.

Document content updater
The Document content updater toggle will enable or disable the Update Document button for end-users that allows the update of the smart document after its generation.
Version
The Version drop-down would allow you to switch between the Dynamics versions available that may support a different feature set.
NotePlease note that only Dynamics version 2.0 is currently available on Templafy Hive. |
Advanced configuration
The Advanced configuration tab enables you to access the template and form settings in a JSON format.
- The Template tab contains metadata on the template in JSON format. Both in regard to standard and custom properties, but also Templafy related metadata such as Dynamics version and Document content updater settings.
- The Form tab contains the form settings on the template, also in JSON format. This is specifically useful if you need to copy a form configuration from one template to another or perform bulk operations such as deleting, editing, or creating forms.
