Images Library

This article explains what the Images Library is and how it works for an end-user.

The Images Library will enable you to easily insert images (company stock pictures, logos, flags, etcetera), made available by your Templafy administrator(s), in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

  Note

The Images can also be downloaded through the Web App.

How does it work

Inserting an image

In your Office application:

  1. Open the Templafy Library task pane.
  2. Go in the Images tab.
  3. Click on the image you would like to insert.
  4. The selected image is inserted.

  Note

  • If you select a placeholder/shape first, clicking the image in Templafy Library will insert the image in the placeholder/shape (On PC with the VSTO add-in)
  • If there is no selection:
    • In PowerPoint, the image will be inserted on the slide.
    • In Word and Outlook, the image will be inserted where your cursor is placed.
    • In Excel, the image will be inserted where the cell is selected.

  Important

In PowerPoint, Images can only be inserted into placeholders using the VSTO add-in (PC) and will be inserted on top of the slide in Mac, Office Online, and Google Slides.

  1. Select the existing image you would like to replace.
  2. Open the Templafy Library task pane.
  3. Go in the Images tab.
  4. Click on the image you would like to insert.

Compression

Templafy will make sure these are optimized for Office use if inserted via the Templafy Images Library in Office. Images will be compressed to avoid documents and presentations ending up being too large while maintaining the quality. Images are compressed to below 2000 x 2000 pixels, and less than 200 KB in size.

When an image is downloaded from the web application it will remain original size. This allows companies to distribute larger file sizes to users that have a need for this.
