How to use Library content in Custom Agents

This article explains how to use Library content in a Custom Agent by adding Pin relevant folder or Insert specific slides content blocks to a presentation section.

  Prerequisites

  • Admin/owner access to the Templafy tenant.
  • Custom Agent enabled.
  • End-users must have permission to access the Library content used by the Custom Agent.

Add Library content to a presentation section

Library content can be added to a section of a Custom Agent's Presentation outline using content blocks.

You can use the following content blocks:

  • Pin relevant folder to allow the Agent to select the most relevant slide from a Library folder based on your instructions.
  • Insert specific slides to select one or more specific slides from the Library that should be inserted into the section.

Both content block types use existing Library slides as static content. The Agent does not generate or modify content within the selected slides.

To add Library content:

  1. In the Admin Center, select AI Agents.
  2. Select the Custom Agent you want to configure.
  3. Navigate to the Presentation outline.
  4. Select the section where you want to add Library content.
  5. Under Add a content block, select Pin relevant folder or Insert specific slides.

Pin relevant folder

Use Pin relevant folder when you want the Agent to select a relevant slide from a specific Library folder.

To configure Pin relevant folder:

  1. Select Pin relevant folder.
  2. Navigate through the Library and select the folder containing the slides you want the Agent to use.
  3. Enter instructions describing what the Agent should look for in the folder.
  4. Save the content block.

When the Agent creates the presentation, it uses the instructions and context available to it to select the most relevant slide from the pinned folder.

Insert specific slides

Use Insert specific slides when you want to select the exact slides that should be included in a section.

To configure Insert specific slides:

  1. Select Insert specific slides.
  2. Navigate through the Library to find the slides you want to include.
  3. Select one or more slides.
  4. Reorder the selected slides if required.
  5. Save the content block.

The selected slides are inserted into the section in the configured order each time the Agent creates the presentation.

  Important

  • Insert specific slides always inserts the selected slides when the Agent creates the presentation. Conditional inclusion of Library content is not part of this functionality.
  • There is no limit to the number of slides that can be selected.

Use Library content with generated slides

Library content can be combined with other content blocks within the same section.

For example, a section can contain:

  1. A static slide selected using Insert specific slides.
  2. Slides generated using Generate slides.
  3. A static slide selected using Insert specific slides.

The Agent processes the content blocks configured for each section when creating the presentation.

Library content is used as static content

When the Agent uses a slide from the Library, the existing slide is inserted into the presentation without generating content within it.

The formatting and content of the selected slide are retained.

Dynamic bindings on Library slides are handled as follows:

  • Master-level dynamic bindings with a default value are respected.
  • Master-level dynamic bindings without a default value are not populated.
  • Slide-level dynamic bindings are not populated.

Managing Library content used by a Custom Agent

Currently, Library slides and folders assigned to a Custom Agent cannot be modified or removed from the Library while they are assigned to the Agent.

To modify or remove assigned Library content, first remove it from the Custom Agent configuration.

Moving Library content within the Library does not break the connection to the Custom Agent.

  Note

This behavior is temporary. Future updates will allow Library content used by a Custom Agent to be replaced or removed. If a Library slide is replaced, the replacement will automatically be reflected in the Agent configuration. If a slide is removed, the Agent configuration will indicate that the content is unavailable.

Permissions for Library content

End-users must have permission to access the Library content used by the Custom Agent.

If an end-user does not have access to the required Library content, the Agent cannot generate the presentation.
