This article explains how to use conditional logic and specific layouts when configuring the Presentation outline of a Custom Agent.

Configure conditional sections

Conditional logic allows you to control when an entire section of a presentation should be included.

For example, you can configure a section to be included if the end-user requests an executive summary or if a stakeholder requests one, based on information in a supporting document such as a call transcript.

To configure conditional logic for a section:

1. In the Admin Center, select AI Agents.
2. Select the Custom Agent you want to configure.
3. Navigate to the Presentation outline.
4. Select the section you want to make conditional.
5. Enable the Conditional switch.
6. Enter the conditional logic that determines when the section should be included.

When the Agent creates the presentation, it evaluates the conditional logic based on the context available to it. If the condition is not met, the entire section and its content blocks are excluded from the presentation.

Configure conditional content blocks

Conditional logic can also be applied to individual content blocks within a section.

This allows you to control which content blocks are included when a section is included.

For example, an Executive Summary section could contain five content blocks. Each content block can have its own conditional logic, meaning the Agent could include all five, three, one, or none of the content blocks depending on the available context and the configured rules.

To configure conditional logic for a content block:

1. In the Admin Center, select AI Agents.
2. Select the Custom Agent you want to configure.
3. Navigate to the Presentation outline.
4. Select the section containing the content block you want to configure.
5. Select the content block.
6. Enable the Conditional switch.
7. Enter the conditional logic that determines when the content block should be included.

Add a specific layout

The Insert Specific Layout content block allows you to determine exactly which layouts the Agent should use when creating slides.

Normally, the Generate slides content block allows the Agent to determine which layout to use from the available layouts. Insert Specific Layout gives you control over the layouts used instead.

To add an Insert Specific Layout content block:

1. In the Admin Center, select AI Agents.
2. Select the Custom Agent you want to configure.
3. Navigate to the Presentation outline.
4. Select the section where you want to add the layout.
5. Add a content block.
6. Select Insert Specific Layout.
7. Select the layouts you would like included
8. Enter the relevant information in the available fields, including the description, content topic, and conditional logic where applicable.

The selected layouts are used in the order configured in the Agent.

Insert Specific Layout and Generate slides

Insert Specific Layout and Generate slides provide different levels of control over how the Agent creates slides.

• Generate slides allows the Agent to determine which available layout is most appropriate for the content it generates.
• Insert Specific Layout determines exactly which layouts the Agent should use.

You can use both content block types within the same Custom Agent.

Use conditional logic with specific layouts

Conditional logic and specific layouts can be used together.

For example, you can configure a section to only be included when an executive summary is requested. Within that section, individual content blocks can have their own conditional logic, while an Insert Specific Layout content block can define the exact layout to use for a particular slide.

This allows you to control both when content is included and how generated content is structured.
