How to Create Documents through Teams and Copilot
If your organization has deployed Copilot for you, you should be able to see Copilot available under your Chats in Teams.
NoteIf your administrator has not centrally installed the Templafy Teams App for your organization, you can install it yourself by following this guide: How to configure the Templafy app in Microsoft Teams as an end user. |
- Navigate to the Chat tab in Teams and open the Copilot chat.
- On the right side of your chat window, click on the Templafy Agent.
- Additionally, the Templafy Copilot Agent can be used by @ mentioning Templafy in the main Copilot chat.
- Ask Copilot to help you build a template. Using the Templafy agent allows you to search for templates stored in Templafy.
- The first time you try to access Templafy through Teams, you may see that Copilot can't find any templates from Templafy, and will prompt you to sign in to Templafy. Click the Sign in to Templafy button to log in to your Templafy tenant.
- Once you've logged in, you can type your question again, and you'll be able to see a response from Copilot with links to relevant templates from Templafy.
- Click the Open button next to the template that you want to use.
- If additional input is needed from you to generate the document, you'll be directed to fill in additional information in Templafy.
- You can then open the document and continue editing or review, if necessary, in your Office applications.
