This article explains how to configure the Templafy app in Microsoft Teams. In order to be able to utilize Templafy integration in Microsoft, it is necessary for the end-user to configure the app.

Add Templafy to your Microsoft Teams Apps
As a first step, the end-user must add Templafy to their Microsoft apps so the Templafy application can then be utilized inside Teams channels and chat. This can be done by doing the following steps:
- At the bottom left of Microsoft Teams, click Apps.
- Search for Templafy.

Click Add on the Templafy app.
Once Templafy has been added to your Apps, you will be able to set it up and utilize it from Teams and Chats.

How to add Templafy as a tab in a channel or a chat
Option 1: Through Apps
- At the bottom left of Microsoft Teams, click Apps.
- Search for "Templafy".
- Click on Open in the Templafy app result.
- Search for the channel or chat where you would like to add Templafy
- Select the desired channel or chat, and click Go.
- Enter your organization's Templafy Tenant ID.
The Templafy Tenant ID can be found in your tenant URL and corresponds to the part displayed before .templafy.com. For example, in mytenantid.templafy.com, the Templafy Tenant ID is mytenantid.
Important
- If you have both a Templafy One and Templafy Hive URL, your Tenant ID must include ".hive". So, the Tenant ID would look like: "mytenantid.hive".
- If you are unsure what your tenant ID is, reach out to your Templafy administrator.
- Select the Default Path.
The Default Path is the template library that should be displayed when using the tab. It can be Documents, Presentations, or Spreadsheets library. - Click Save.

Option 2: From within a Teams channel or a chat
- Navigate to Teams or Chat.
- Click on the + in the top bar.
- Choose Templafy from the list or use the search to find the app.
- Enter the Templafy Tenant ID.
The Templafy Tenant ID can be found inside the tenant URL and corresponds to the part displayed before .templafy.com. For example, in mytenantid.templafy.com, the Templafy Tenant ID is mytenantid.

Option 3: Templafy extension
Once you have set up at least one Templafy tab inside a Teams channel or a chat, you will be able to create documents from all Teams channels and chats with the Templafy extension accessible under the chat box.
- Navigate to Teams or Chat.
- Under the chat box, click on the + icon to expand more apps.
- Select Templafy to search for templates or create a document.

How to rename the Templafy tab
- Right-click on the Templafy tab that should be renamed.
- Click Rename.
- Rename the tab.
- Click Save.
How to reconfigure the Templafy tab and extension
The Templafy tab cannot be reconfigured. In order to make changes to the Tenant ID or library, you must remove the tab and add the desired settings to a new tab configuration.
The extension can be reconfigured at any time:
- In a Teams channel or in a chat, in the, under the chat box, click on the Templafy extension.
- In the Templafy extension that opens, click on the three dots menu.
- Click Reconfigure.
- Make the necessary edits.
- Click Save.
How to remove the Templafy tab
- Right-click on the Templafy tab that should be removed.
- Click Remove.
