Translate slide content with Edit Agent

Edit Agent can translate slide content in PowerPoint and help adapt the wording for the target language and audience.

  Prerequisites

  • Edit Agent must be enabled for your organization and user account.
  • The slide content must be available in the open presentation.

Use case

Use this when a presentation needs to be shared with colleagues, customers, or stakeholders in another language.

Why this helps

Translation with Edit Agent can reduce the time spent manually localizing presentations. This helps commercial teams reuse existing material across regions while keeping messaging consistent.

How to translate slide content

  1. Open the presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Go to the slide you want to translate.
  3. Optional: select the shapes or text boxes you want translated.
  4. Open Edit Agent in the Templafy task pane.
  5. Ask Edit Agent to translate the content.
    For example:
    • "Translate this slide into Danish."
    • "Translate the selected text into English and keep the tone professional."
    • "Translate this slide into German for a customer presentation."
    • "Translate this content into French and keep the wording concise."
  6. Review the translated slide.
  7. Ask Edit Agent to adjust tone, length, or wording if needed.

Tips

  • Specify the target language.
  • Mention the audience or country if localization matters.
  • Review industry-specific terminology before sending externally.
  • Ask Edit Agent to keep the formatting if the slide already looks correct.

  Note

Translation results should be reviewed by a speaker of the target language when accuracy or legal meaning is critical.
