Add more items to a group of shapes with Edit Agent

Edit Agent can help extend repeated slide structures in PowerPoint. For example, you can ask it to add another milestone to a timeline, another card to a process flow, or another person to a slide with bios or profiles.

Use this when a slide already contains a repeated group of shapes and you need to add another item that matches the existing structure.

Edit Agent helps keep these slides updated without rebuilding the layout manually, which saves time and keeps the slide looking consistent.

How to add another item

1. Open the presentation in PowerPoint.
2. Go to the slide that contains the group of shapes.
3. Optional: select the existing group, row, timeline, cards, or shapes you want Edit Agent to match.
4. Open Edit Agent in the Templafy task pane.
5. Ask Edit Agent to add the new item.
   For example:
   • "Add another milestone to this timeline called "Customer rollout" after the launch phase."
   • "Add another person to this bio slide using the same format as the others."
   • "Add a fourth value proposition card and make the spacing even."
   • "Add another step to this process flow for legal review."
   • "Add one more logo placeholder to this customer slide and keep the row aligned."
6. Review the updated slide.
7. Ask for follow-up changes if needed.

Tips

• Select the full group or repeated structure when you want Edit Agent to focus on a specific part of the slide.
• Tell Edit Agent where the new item should appear.
• Provide the exact label, date, name, or text for the new item when accuracy matters.
• Mention whether existing items can be resized or moved to make space.
• Review spacing, alignment, and text fit after the change.
