Edit Agent can help update structured slide content such as tables, charts, and other slide objects in PowerPoint.

Use case
Use this when a slide contains structured information that needs to be adjusted, reformatted, or updated based on your instructions or an uploaded file.
Why this helps
Tables and charts are often used in commercial presentations to explain performance, pricing, timelines, comparisons, and results. Edit Agent can reduce the manual work needed to update these slides and help keep data-heavy slides easier to understand.
How to update a table, chart, or object
- Open the presentation in PowerPoint.
- Go to the slide you want to update.
- Optional: select the table, chart, or object you want Edit Agent to focus on.
- Open Edit Agent in the Templafy task pane.
- Ask for the update.
For example:- "Update this table using the attached spreadsheet."
- "Make this chart easier to understand for an executive audience."
- "Format this table so it is easier to scan."
- "Change the selected objects so they are aligned and evenly spaced."
- "Summarize the key takeaway from this chart on the slide."
- "Add another step to this process flow and match the existing style."
- Review the result.
- Ask for another change if needed.
Tips
- Upload source files when the update depends on specific data.
- Tell Edit Agent whether the source data should be summarized or used exactly.
- Review numbers carefully before sharing the presentation.
- Use selected shapes to target the correct object.
- Use the grouped-shape workflow when you want to add another item to an existing timeline, card row, process, or bio slide.
ImportantAlways verify updated numbers, labels, and chart content before using the presentation externally. |
