Collapsible Task Pane

The collapsible task pane helps you keep important tools within reach without taking up too much space. You can minimize the task pane when you don’t need it and easily expand it when you do — providing a more flexible workspace without losing quick access to key features and assets.

  Prerequisites

  • Library VSTO Add-in version 7.3.161 or higher.
  • Library or AI Assistant module enabled.

  Important

  • The sidebar is available on the Library Web Add-in, but it is not collapsible.
  • The ability to collapse / expand the task pane is only available using the VSTO Add-in through Templafy Desktop on PC.

Additional Icons in the Collapsible Task Pane

  1. AI Assistant: will only be available if enabled on the tenant.
  2. Browse Assets (Library): access the Content Library containing your company assets.
  3. Visuals: see Pinned Libraries.
  4. Photos: see Pinned Libraries.
  5. Update document: will only be available if a dynamic Templafy document is opened.
  6. New document: select your starting point; Browse template or Start from scratch.
  7. Export document: save or share the file.
  8. User options: manage User Profiles, access pinned libraries, access Template Designer, switch tenant, view available integrations, access settings, and logout.

  Note

Selecting any of these icons will expand the task pane.

Pinned Libraries

End-users have the ability to edit the libraries that are pinned to the task pane for one-click access to their most used content.

  1. Click on the User options icon.
  2. Open the Preferences dropdown.
  3. Click Edit pinned libraries.

  Note

By default, the first three asset libraries that an end-user has access to will be pinned.
